INDIE NEW ON DVD
New On DVD and Blu-ray: The Wackness

Out on DVD and Blu-Ray this week is The Wackness, the story of a recent high school graduate who finds direction where one would least expect it. Set in 1994, the film chronicles the fairly carefree life of Luke (Josh Peck), a kid who fills his summer days listening to hip-hop and dealing marijuana from the Manhattan ice cream cart where he works. His life grows more complicated when he meets another lost soul, Dr. Squires (Ben Kingsley), a pot-smoking therapist with whom he trades therapy sessions for drugs. Before long, an attraction to the doctor's daughter Stephanie (Olivia Thirlby), his family's increasingly desperate financial situation and the risks of his illegal line of work combine forces to ensure that Luke's life is anything but aimless.

The Wackness is available on DVD and Blu-Ray January 6. Buy The Wackness on DVD today.
